Be Inspired || Don’t be afraid to be different. Don’t be afraid to be you. Be unique. Be inspired.Today’s blog is going to be a little different. Today, I want you to be inspired. I want to walk you through the world around you. I want you to pay close attention and listen… and write.

So grab your dream journal (or just a plain ol’ pen and paper or even just open a Word document), and let’s do this!

I want you to ask yourself three important questions… and yes, write these down. But don’t answer them just yet! We’re doing this together, remember?

  1. What inspires me?
  2. What are some things I can do to gather some inspiration every day?
  3. How can I stay motivated?

What inspires you? Ok, so go ahead and jot some things down. Don’t think too hard about this. The key is to go with your instincts and just write whatever comes to your mind. Go ahead, I’ll wait…

The thing about inspiration is that it can literally come from anywhere. For me it can be a Bible verse, a quote, lyrics to a song, a blog I read, a video I watched, sunshine, or even just the people I see in passing in my every day life. The key is to be aware of your surroundings and of what you’re listening to.

With that being said, take another moment or two and close your eyes. Think about your list of things that inspires you. Are there things you would add to that list? If so, add them and then I want you to circle the 3 things that inspire you the most.

Ok so let’s go ahead and answer question number two: What are some ways we can gather inspiration every day? In other words, what are you doing to open your mind to creativity?

I personally love nature walks. It’s so calming and such a great way to gather your thoughts. Just being in the sunshine can be enough to make your day even brighter! Some other things I do is I read blogs and books and pin inspiring quotes on one of my pinterest boards. I join facebook groups that pertain to my interests and I talk about my ideas with others.

Lastly, we need to write down some ways we can stay motivated. Some ideas I came up with for myself were…

  • Find a mentor or accountability partner
  • Set intentions for my day or week BEFORE it begins
  • Create deadlines
  • Preschedule a few blogs beforehand in case something comes up
  • Utilize time management tools

The last thing I have written down is to stay connected, we are not in this alone!!

God has so many things in store for you and the dreams and passions He’s put inside of you. He is taking you deeper in Him. So pray. Fast. Journal. Dive into His Word. He will never lead you astray.

This journey is just as much spiritual as it is physical.

Don’t be afraid to be different. Don’t be afraid to be you. Be unique. Be inspired.

This is a beautiful post! I love how interactive it is, and how it got me re-thinking some basic, but often ignored questions! THANK YOU. 🙂

Thank YOU, Alex! Your feedback really means a lot to me. 🙂 And actually, you, the whole idea of the Spark Lounge and what it’s about really inspired me to do this series for spring. For one, it’s keeping me accountable on posting regularly 😉 and all your talks about following your dreams, etc has really resonated with me these past few weeks. 😀
