Yes, I know I’m a day late. But success! I still wrote this week’s post… and it’s just for YOU!! So grab your dream journal, and let’s get going!
Today’s blog is going to be a little different. Today, I want you to be inspired. I want to walk you through the world around you. I want you to pay close attention and listen… and write.
So grab your dream journal (or just a plain ol’ pen and paper or even just open a Word document), and let’s do this! Continue reading
Hello lovelies! I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am that you have made it here to the first blog in our series for the dreamers. Before we start, I just want to let you in on what inspired me to begin this incredible series.
For many months, I’ve been trying to figure out what my main goal and purpose is for That Christian Girl. What is it that I want to accomplish? What is it that GOD wants to do through this incredible community? Continue reading
I know we’re already a few months into the new year. Some people are right on track with their 2015 goals, while the majority of us gave up on ours. For me, every year it’s the same old story. I decided a few years back that I wasn’t going to make resolutions anymore… but I was going to start making small, attainable goals that would help to accomplish a bigger goal. But what I quickly realized was that it doesn’t matter what you call it, goals or resolutions, you can still end up abandoning them after a few short weeks. Continue reading
I grew up in a Christian home. My parents tried to teach and raise me in the way that I should go, they did the best they could. Continue reading
It’s Thanksgiving Day and I’m sure most of us have had quite a bit more turkey than we could handle. And it’s probably SO cliche for me to be talking about thankfulness. BUT… here I am. And I’m talking to you about thankfulness. So, let’s hop in!
When people ask you what you’re thankful for, what are some of the things that usually come to your mind? Continue reading
In our last post, we got into the subject of priorities and how we tend to make excuses to not do things because we’re “too busy.” I was recently talking the blog over with a friend and they made a really good observation that I wanted to share with you ladies this week.
How is it that we’re never to busy to do the things that we actually want to do?
Have you ever noticed that when you want to do something, you’ll make the time for it? I don’t know about you, but usually when I don’t want to make the time to do something, it’s not ALWAYS because I’m too busy. Sometimes, I just don’t feel like it. Continue reading
Hey girls! I know, I know… you’re all probably wondering why there were no new blog posts the past few weeks. In fact, I have even been slacking on updating the TCG facebook page. To be completely honest, there probably wouldn’t have even been a post for tonight if I hadn’t forced myself to sit down and write one. *Gasp!*
So I sat on my bed and opened my laptop and began to think on what I should write to you ladies about. Truth be told, I couldn’t think of anything. Until a little voice inside my head told me to give up because I was too busy to write a blog tonight anyway. And then… it happened. Inspiration began to stir inside my mind. It was as if the clouds parted and the sun broke through as God’s voice began to speak, giving me an incredible word for you today…. Continue reading
I try to catch my breath
It hasn’t happened yet
I’m wide awake in the middle of the night scared to death
So I prayed God, would You make this stop
Father please hold on to me, You’re all I’ve got
Recognize it? The above quote is the opening verse for Josh Wilson’s song “Carry Me.” I’ve loved this song since the first time I heard it. Little did I know that the lyrics would become a reality in my life. I never knew I would constantly be repeating the lines in the chorus… Continue reading
One year ago today, I was struggling. I was struggling to find my purpose in this world. Struggling to find something meaningful to invest my time, my energy, and my life into. I so desperately wanted to do something to make the world a better place. It was my dream. Continue reading
