First off, I want to say that I hope you ladies had a wonderful Easter!! I know I did. God moved in our service and I’m so happy with how everything turned out so perfectly.
In our last post, we got into the subject of priorities and how we tend to make excuses to not do things because we’re “too busy.” I was recently talking the blog over with a friend and they made a really good observation that I wanted to share with you ladies this week.
How is it that we’re never to busy to do the things that we actually want to do?
Have you ever noticed that when you want to do something, you’ll make the time for it? I don’t know about you, but usually when I don’t want to make the time to do something, it’s not ALWAYS because I’m too busy. Sometimes, I just don’t feel like it. Continue reading
Hey girls! I know, I know… you’re all probably wondering why there were no new blog posts the past few weeks. In fact, I have even been slacking on updating the TCG facebook page. To be completely honest, there probably wouldn’t have even been a post for tonight if I hadn’t forced myself to sit down and write one. *Gasp!*
So I sat on my bed and opened my laptop and began to think on what I should write to you ladies about. Truth be told, I couldn’t think of anything. Until a little voice inside my head told me to give up because I was too busy to write a blog tonight anyway. And then… it happened. Inspiration began to stir inside my mind. It was as if the clouds parted and the sun broke through as God’s voice began to speak, giving me an incredible word for you today…. Continue reading
In today’s society, I feel like there’s so much pressure on women. There’s pressure on how to act, how to dress, how to look, how to be a better mom, how to be a better wife, how to be a better…. you fill in the blank. I know so many women who are stressed daily with all the different demands of life calling out to them all at once. It’s easy to get caught up in it all and lose your focus. Here’s what I have to say to you: Continue reading
A Note from Amber: I know the following poem may be a little depressing..but we really need to consider who is watching us and looking to us as examples. I understand that we are all human and we make mistakes, but please please remember: There is always someone watching you. Someone will pattern their life after yours. What kind of example do you want to set? Continue reading
Hello ladies!!! So I just have to tell you girls that I am so excited for the month of February!! We have some exciting things coming up. For some of us, February is an exciting month. It’s exciting because Valentine’s Day is just around the corner! There’s nothing that touches a girl’s heart more than some chocolate, jewelry, and a little teddy bear. (Insert “awhhhh” here.) It’s a month full of a whole lotta’ love. Continue reading
I chose to tuck the pain away,
And save it for a rainy day.
Now nothing is really going my way.
I didn’t listen when I heard Him say,
“Let me shine my light on it now,
It doesn’t help to hide it anyhow.”
Even though I had made a vow,
I didn’t plan on my flesh, having to bow. Continue reading
My first bike had one gear. Whether I was going fast or slow, uphill or downhill, that gear did everything. My next bike had three gears: one for level surfaces, one for going uphill, and one for going downhill. My third bike had ten gears, allowing me an even broader range of choices. Even though my last bike had several gears to choose from, I didn’t use all of them every time I rode. Some were best suited for starting and climbing, others were reserved for gaining speed, and others were best for a leisurely pace. But the thing about gears is this: Even though I wasn’t using all of them at the time, it didn’t mean I would never need them. Continue reading
