Thankfulness.

It’s Thanksgiving Day and I’m sure most of us have had quite a bit more turkey than we could handle. And it’s probably SO cliche for me to be talking about thankfulness. BUT… here I am. And I’m talking to  you about thankfulness. So, let’s hop in!

When people ask you what you’re thankful for, what are some of the things that usually come to your mind? Continue reading

When I “don’t feel like it.”

In our last post, we got into the subject of priorities and how we tend to make excuses to not do things because we’re “too busy.” I was recently talking the blog over with a friend and they made a really good observation that I wanted to share with you ladies this week.

How is it that we’re never to busy to do the things that we actually want to do?

Have you ever noticed that when you want to do something, you’ll make the time for it? I don’t know about you, but usually when I don’t want to make the time to do something, it’s not ALWAYS because I’m too busy. Sometimes, I just don’t feel like it. Continue reading

When I’m “too busy”

Hey girls! I know, I know… you’re all probably wondering why there were no new blog posts the past few weeks. In fact, I have even been slacking on updating the TCG facebook page. To be completely honest, there probably wouldn’t have even been a post for tonight if I hadn’t forced myself to sit down and write one. *Gasp!*

So I sat on my bed and opened my laptop and began to think on what I should write to you ladies about. Truth be told, I couldn’t think of anything. Until a little voice inside my head told me to give up because I was too busy to write a blog tonight anyway. And then… it happened. Inspiration began to stir inside my mind. It was as if the clouds parted and the sun broke through as God’s voice began to speak, giving me an incredible word for you today…. Continue reading

When God Gives You A Dream

It’s never, ever too late to begin again and live the dream you’ve been given! – Annie Lobert

One year ago today, I was struggling. I was struggling to find my purpose in this world. Struggling to find something meaningful to invest my time, my energy, and my life into. I so desperately wanted to do something to make the world a better place. It was my dream. Continue reading

On Beauty

moveloseflauntWhy have looks and appearance consumed our every day lives? It’s plastered all over magazines, talk shows, and the like. Everywhere I go I see phrases like, “Trim this, emphasize that, tuck in that belly.. less carbs, more weightloss… lose fat fast… sexiest trend of the year.. what every girl needs…”weight_loss_187usnf-187usnm
I don’t want to be a part of that. I don’t want to be a part of a world that defines beauty from a magazine. I don’t want to be a part of a world that is fooled into thinking “beauty” that has been photoshopped should be sought after in real life. A world that says, “Thin is in.” A world that says, “Show more skin… look and feel sexy.” A world that teaches girls how to be critical of themselves… to hate their so-called “flaws.” Continue reading

The Three P’s!

In today’s society, I feel like there’s so much pressure on women. There’s pressure on how to act, how to dress, how to look, how to be a better mom, how to be a better wife, how to be a better…. you fill in the blank. I know so many women who are stressed daily with all the different demands of life calling out to them all at once. It’s easy to get caught up in it all and lose your focus. Here’s what I have to say to you: Continue reading

I felt the need to share my opinion after reading and experiencing some of life’s obstacles. I am a huge advocate of implementing one’s faith into their relationship, and in turn letting God be the foundation of a blossoming marriage. To say that “marriage,” is an easy institution is a fallacy. Marriage is an intense, and sometimes capricious commitment that involves many hours of pruning, up keep, and compromise. After six years of marriage, I can honestly say that I’ve given it my all – and in turn it has been the most rewarding experience of my life. Continue reading

Forgiveness. A lot of people think they know what this is. But the truth of the matter is, forgiveness can be twisted into a very selfish thing. It has long been argued that forgiveness is a choice we all make in our lives to help ‘us’ move on. But are we truly forgiving the other person? Or are we saying that we forgive the other person so that we feel complacent. Continue reading
